Martin AS A SENIOR: Becomes the first three-time captain in the history of the Notre Dame men’s soccer program • enjoyed
productive junior season and will look to continue high level of play this season • a true team leader who is greatly

World Cup team which lost in the semifinals of the Youth World Championships in New Zealand in November of ’99 •
named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-America teams in both 1999 and 2000 • as a senior, led
his high school squad to state championship with clutch scoring performances that included two two-goal games • team

Chris Sawyer
AS A SENIOR: Entered the 2004 season as one of the top goalkeepers
in the nation • served as team captain • a great athlete who has improved all aspects of his goalkeeping •
a humble player who has the respect of his teammates and opponents • plays with a great deal of confidence and composure.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Three-year starter
at Highlands Ranch • led team to conference and regional crowns in each of his four seasons as squad finished with a
50-5-3 mark from 1998-2000 • posted 34 career shutouts and a 0.70 goals against average, both school records • helped
squad to second-place finish in state tournament as a senior • guided team to state crown in his sophomore season •
two-time all-state first-team honoree • an NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) High School All-America
honoree as a senior • member of the Under-18 national team player pool • regional all-American • played in
the Colorado all-star game as a junior and senior • guided his Colorado Rush club team to Region IV ODP title in 1999,
as well as runner-up finish at national tournament that same year • invited to the adidas ESP Camp where he earned the

Greg Tait AS A SENIOR: Greg was Notre Dame's starting goalkeeper at
the beginning of the 2001 season • will compete for starting job again in 2002 along with sophomore Chris Sawyer
• gives the Irish experience and depth in goal • played well during the spring season • tallest member of Notre
Dame squad who uses his height to his advantage • an agile player with deceptive speed and a long arm reach which enables
him to cover a lot of space in the goal area.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL
DATA: Two-year starter at Christian Brothers Academy • played on the varsity team for
five years and helped his team to 104 victories during that time • had a 58-4 record as the starting goalkeeper •
as a junior, CBA recorded the only undefeated season in school history (23-0) while earning the team's second consecutive
state crown • garnered all-state, all-conference and all-city honors following his junior and senior seasons • an
all-East selection in 1998 • top member of East ODP program since 1995 • traveled to Bellinzona, Switzerland, with
that team in 1999 • has played for the Syracuse Blitz club team since 1989 and has been a member of three teams which
have captured State Cup championships • squad was runner-up at National Indoor tournament in '98 • twice participated
in adidas Elite Program

soccer year round with Chicago Sockers and did not participate on high school team following his sophomore year • helped
the Sockers capture Under-16 national club team championship in 1999, in addition towinning the USSA regional crown •
team claimed third at the Under-17 competition in 2000 after winning Dallas Cup Championship that same season • helped
Sockers capture three state titles in 1998, 2000
and ’01 • five-year member of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association
